Take Charge of Your QuickBooks Connection
QuickBooks connections can now be disconnected cleanly with guided duplicate handling, invoice adjustments map to their own item and class, and review metrics gain an actual-time-only option.
Rounding out the first week of July with control, precision, and quiet hardening.
Your QuickBooks connection, under your control
The QuickBooks Center now offers a clean disconnect flow when you need to unlink an account, alongside guided duplicate vendor handling during sync, so an accidental double record in QuickBooks gets resolved by choice, not chance. Invoice adjustments also gained their own item and class mapping, so credits and corrections book exactly where your accountant wants them.
Actual time only, when that is the policy
Review metrics now include an Actual time only option: when enabled for an event, billing and compensation follow the recorded actual times rather than the scheduled block, matching contracts that pay strictly on time served.
A tidier Review Center
Events that no longer need review can now hide themselves automatically, following your account's settings and delay rules, with each removal recorded in the event's journal.
Quiet hardening
We also finished a security project called input validation. Here is what that means in plain terms. Every time you click a button, the platform receives a small package of information behind the scenes: an appointment ID, a date, an email address, a file. Until now, some parts of the platform trusted that package to contain what it was supposed to contain. Now the platform checks first. An appointment ID has to be a real number, a date has to be a real date, and an uploaded file has to actually be the kind of file it claims to be.
Why does that matter? Two reasons. First, honest mistakes: if a spotty connection sends a half-empty form, you now get a clear message instead of a confusing error or a frozen screen. Second, bad actors: a common way to attack a website is to feed it deliberately malformed information and hope the software does something unintended with it. Checking every value at the door closes that path. You will not notice any change in your daily work, and that is exactly the goal.
